Thanks to all the great folks at the Charters Nature Centre, the Juan de Fuca Volunteers, Wally, and Ray, Marc Gaboury and a great hoe operator, the side-channel project went off without a hitch. Unfortunately I had to bow out a little early but on my return visits I see the entire side-channel working just like Mother Nature put it there herself. The last word of course goes to the chum, coho, and chinook who seem to have taken to it like it was their home. Everyone who was involved in this and all the other Charters Habitat Enhancement Projects, can be very proud of an effort that has proven to be such a "GREAT" success.
